News Story Brainstorm

If I needed to compose my own news story I think that I would most likely make one having to do with Syria because that is a developing news story so it would be easy to find information about it and I think that it is very important. Like the video we watched in class the other day called Control Room I think that it is my job to find out Syria’s side of the story as well. Living in America we really only get one side of the story so what I would do is look up Syrian news websites or even #Syria on twitter because that way I can see photographs and such. I know that Syrians typically write in Arabic which is obviously a foreign language to us so I would need to find a news website that is in the English language but is still giving me the Syrian citizens side of the story. I could also look on Russian websites too because the deal that Obama wants to propose to Assad has to do with Russia being involved so if I wanted to get Russia’s point of view on the entire thing I could find a Russian news story. I think that I could probably look at pictures on the internet too because sometimes you don’t necessarily believe the things that you hear from people unless you have a photo to prove it or just an image to prove it.
