Boys plan to eat mom's liver

                Cannibalism is defined as “the practice of eating the flesh of your own kind.” In today’s world, you wouldn’t expect humans to want to eat other humans. That is simply repulsive. However, in Washington, two boys ages thirteen and fourteen had a different opinion in mind. They both decided that they wanted to eat the liver of the thirteen year old boy’s mother. Not a usual day’s plan for two young boys. The mother was attacked by the two and brutally beaten with the handle of a sword. She was left with injuries and hospitalized. However, this was not the end of their plans.

                When police arrived the two were nowhere to be found. They then received a call pertaining to an auto theft.  The two boys decided to take the fourteen year old boy’s father’s car. Preceding that, the two boys were found in the process of a residential burglary. They were then found and arrested. The boys had multiple charges against them and admitted to taking pills known as “blue pills” before the whole ordeal.  The son of the injured woman stated that he would have never done anything like this if he were sober.

                To me, this story is just sickening. Who at such a young age would even think to take these unknown pills, let alone, commit these heinous crimes. What is the medical name for these pills? Where did they get the pills? Would these pills actually make someone commit a crime such as this or was it their only excuse? There are many questions that came into my mind as I read through this article, but the main one was “why?” They hadn’t even reached high school and they already ruined their lives. It just blows my mind hearing a story like this. It shows just how much drugs affect one’s life and how young it starts.
