In the middle of a forest in Montana, there was a man named Thomas. He has been living in the forest for many many years but as of lately, he has been having a tough time getting the necessary things he needs to survive. The fires that have been spreading across the very dry forest have been destroying all the homes of animals, any plants that could provide him food, and any shelter he could use to stay safe. This is the story of the struggle of a man who is living just like most animals throughout the world.
He was living a very peaceful, easy life in the woods for just about 6 years before these wildfires started to spread because of the lack of rain that would keep the forest wet. The fires would spread rapidly and there was no way anyone could stop them. Thomas had to constantly move his home every couple days because the fires would get too close, just like a hermit crab having to change it's shell. Although his life was basically getting ruined, he would still stay positive and try to find a safe place to live. This compares to the struggle of being an everyday animal living in the forest and human beings constantly cutting down trees and ridding squirrels, birds, owls, etc. of their homes in those trees. One day, Thomas decided it would be a good idea to try and make a more reliable shelter in a cave that he found in the side of a mountain. While he knew it was a much better plan than staying in the woods that were burning down, he was not aware of the fact that there were big rocks that were at risk of falling off the mountain.
One night while he was sleeping, he woke up to the sound of a loud thunder-like rolling sound. He was wondering why he couldn't see the moonlight coming into the cave like he could in previous nights. So he walked over to the opening of the cave, where he found he has been trapped by a bunch of big boulders that fell down the side of the mountain. To his dismay he died a very slow, bothersome death alone in a cave.
