Glaciers ~ Gab Brown

Giant forms of ice
Floating in the arctic
Vanishing under the ignorant blaze
That heats up the world in which we live

Slowly and steadily
Sinking further into the abyss
Ice is swallowed whole
By the dark ocean waters

The frozen masses
No longer frozen in time
No rebirth or growth is seen, only loss
The loss of ice, the loss of habitat, the loss of history

Ice is turning to water
Sea levels are rising
In an era of constant melting,
Future devastation is on the horizon

People are to blame; it’s the whole human race
Carelessly we allow a significant climate change
But what can be done?
Can the dying sheets of ice be brought back to life?
