E-Cigarettes: Dangerous?

Are E-Cigarettes dangerous? We still do not know yet. What we do know is that they are becoming just as addictive as real cigarettes. E-Cigarettes main use is to ween people off of real tobacco. While people use them for just that reason, many people who haven't even smoked cigarettes before have started using these "electronic nicotine inhalers". Even children; some as young as middle schoolers. A problem that we have seen before in this country is the fact that these are being advertised and pulling more people in to using them, just like they did with cigarettes in the 60's. While E-Cigarettes are being used for the right reasons and have no harmful effects, at least that we know of yet, they are also being used in the wrong ways. Until there is a harmful side effect of these, I don't think there will be any rules put in place to try and stop the use of these in doors and in public places. Especially with teenagers.

  1. Clayton,
Nicotine is dangerous; I know that it builds plaque in arteries and can lead to heart attacks and strokes. Perhaps do some research?
