Rolling Stone Hangs with Miley Cyrus

This article was a four-page summary of spending time with Pop music’s newest ‘wild child’. First a trip to a tattoo parlor to get her first feet tattoos. The article covered all the major stages of Miley’s career from her first –on screen appearance at two when she walked onto the set of one of her father, Billy Ray Cyrus’s, interviews to her present- day antics such as her recent performance at the VMA’s.
She is well aware of what her fans and other public eyes think of her but she doesn’t seem to be too concerned since, to her, it’s more important to be happy with who she is and be recognized as a musician and an artist. However, if you think about it, there have been hints to Cyrus’s new persona over the last few years. For example, when she was 15, Cyrus posed for Vanity Fair wearing a sheet that gave the illusion of her being topless. At 17, TMZ released a photo of her smoking a bong (though she swore it was salvia).
After ‘chilling at Cyrus’s crib’, going skydiving with the young star, and going to a club. It’s clear that Cyrus knows exactly what she’s getting into with her new image. All she’s doing is being herself and making sure she will always be remembered.
Personally, I do miss the old Miley Cyrus in respect to her looks. I feel her longer hair looked better. In terms of personality, a wild child attracts attention and clearly she’s owning it instead of pretending to be something she’s not. However, I could’ve done without the VMA performance and the naked music video… I’m interested to see what kind of artist she will end up being.
