School Shooting - Austin Sipple

On Sunday around one a.m. gunmen in a rural college town of Yobe, Nigeria fired upon sleeping students.  It was said that gunmen fired indiscriminately on a male dormitory building at the College of Agriculture Gujba killing twenty-one.  All evidence points towards an Islamic militant group the Boko Haram.  This group is well known in Nigeria to be a huge problem.  They have had three attacks on schools in the past four months.  The President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has declared a state of emergency for Nigeria.  Jonathan has even created a specialized wing of the military to deal with this western hating militant group.
Whenever I hear of these horrible shootings and how frequent it happens in other countries it makes my jaw drop.  It makes me think about how fortunate the United States citizens are that we do not experience bombings and mass murders due to religious differences.  It makes me sick to think that these students were growing and starting their lives by going to school and were killed because of it.  I would like to know what goes through these groups heads and how they can believe what they are doing
